Hi there! I love to create a new makeup routine every season. It's a lot of fun. Change is good and it's always nice to enjoy the small things!♥
This season I have newly colored burgundy hair and I decided to use jewel toned makeup colors to accent my pale skin and hazel eyes. I mix shades of plum, dark purple and bright yellow to create a fun eye makeup look!
Here's a little peek into my 10 most beloved items from my winter makeup bag! I tend to use inexpensive makeup mixed with a few more pricey items that are worth their weight in gold. ;) Without further ado... Here's my must have list: 1. Foundation by Neutrogena... my favorite. 2. Burt's Bees lip shimmer in Fig. I love this for a little bit (but not too much) color. 3. Burt's Bees super shiny lip gloss in Zesty Red. This is the prettiest lip gloss and it tastes like raspberries! 4. Physician's Formula eyeshadow. I love these perfect jewel tones. Yellow eyeshadow is my absolute favorite and even better for winter when mixed with plum tones. 5. My two favorite nail polish colors of the season... grey and mint green. 6. The most wonderful concealer ever made by Make Up For Ever. It works like a charm! 7. Faux lashes. A holiday must! They're so much fun to wear to parties and nights out. 8. Eyeliner and brow liner. I suggest a brow liner that is lighter than what your natural color so that it blends perfectly. 9. Hard Candy sparkle eyeshadow. love it! 10. Cover Girl blush in Iced Cappuccino.♥ Have a lovely day! Elsie

Thanks *SO* much!! I love this post. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Good to know about Neutrogena foundation! I've been looking for a less-expensive, but good, one. Thanks!

Such a fun post! :) And your photos are lovely! I have hazel eyes, too, and I love using purple eye shadows and liners to bring out the green flecks in them. Clinique makes a fabulous purple liner called Starry Plum. :)

Elsie, you look so pretty! Those colours are perfect for your colouring - gorgeous :)
I have to ask too, what is the name of the fonts that you used to write "winter makeup" and "tips" in the first photo of this post? They are awesome!

Elsie! Your hair is gorgeous. I have been wanting to dye my hair a burgandy/plumish color for some time now (my mother isn't crazy about it, but I need to change things up)... do you have someone dye your hair or do you just buy hair dye at the store?? I'm trying to figure out which way to go!

So... I am Caucasian, and my skin color is constantly changing do to the amount of sun that I'm exposed to. My neck is naturally about 2 shades darker than my face, and every time I go to get a new concealer I can never get a close enough color! It's either too pink, or too dark... Any suggestions?
