I am so happy to announce this fun collaboration! I was recently invited to design a piece of jewelry for ModCloth. The piece was to be vintage inspired and something I would love to wear. The possibilities were endless and I had so much fun sketching ideas and scouring vintage inspiration!
I designed a locket that was inspired by a vintage horseshoe brooch. I love mid-century enamel floral pins, so I fell in love with a horseshoe pin with tiny enamel daisies. Growing up, my grandparents were farmers, so I’ve always had affection for horses and Southwestern symbolism. I have many fond memories of riding horses with my sister, dressed up in boots and cowboy hats. I knew I wanted to use the horseshoe, a symbol of good luck, to create my vintage-inspired piece.
I chose a locket because I think that every lady wants little ways to carry her favorite memories with her. I love lockets because they can keep treasures safe and near by. It’s a little reminder of the love in one’s life! This locket is extra special because it’s oversized. Many lockets are itty-bitty, but this one is more of a statement. It’s a perfect fit for two photos. I love it!
My special locket is now for sale at ModCloth. ♥
Here's a peek at my design illustation. The whole process was such a thrill!
This was such a fun project. You can pick up your very own locket right here. xo. elsie
Modcloth let me choose an outfit just for this blog post! Here's what I'm wearing... In Perfect Contrast Dress, Front of the Line Tights in Teal, Call You Honey Shoulder Bag, and Comma on Over Heel. XO!

I MUST HAVE ONE!!! And this is why you continue to be one of my favorite bloggy ladies. You rock.
I also love horseshoes, horses and Southwestern symbolism. And lockets. And flowers. This is perfection!
