I am so in love with this restyled sweatshirt. When Amanda sent it my way I think I gasped aload! It's so beautiful, simple and cozy. Who doesn't want to look pretty in something so comfy! Here's how you can make your own...
Step 1. Cut the neckline off your sweatshirt for an off-the-shoulder look, then arrange the doilies along the neckline.
Step 4. After cutting the excess from the doilies on the neckline, pin and sew the bias tape. This will prevent the doilies from unraveling.
Step 5. Add a little decorative trim if you like! Most craft stores sell pretty lace and crochet varieties.
Your sweater can be washed on gentle cycle and either hung to dry or dried with low heat. A simple and pretty way to stay warm in the upcoming winter months!
Thanks so much, Amanda, for sharing this beautiful idea! I can see a hoodie version of this project in my near future! xo. elsie

That's so cute! Can't wait to try it with a gray sweatshirt I have!

Oh, I love the doily neckline! Would be super cute on a brown sweatshirt with a tea stained doily, and some velvet ribbon. Love it!

EEP! - I am one of those 'doily delighters' myself... and am always looking for ways to encorporate them into my d.i.y's - and that is another beauty example!
If you want to see how I used them to spruce up my ol' sweater.. here's the post:
