Today we want to share with you a fun Do-It-Yourself method of customizing your tool set! We dreamed this project up because Emma recently bought her first home and she really wanted to spruce up her garage and hang her tools on the wall. What better way to personalize your space and add a little bit of charm?

Supplies Needed: You'll need fabric (gingham or floral works great!), indoor/outdoor paint in a coordinating color, paint brush, glue, scissors and a tool set to customize! We also used Mod Podge.

First paint the ends of all your tools. This will speed up the fabric wrapping process and save you tons of time. You'll probably want to apply two coats of paint and allow it to dry between each coat.

Next, simply cut your pretty patterned fabric into long 1 inch wide strips and wrap them around the tool handles. Use a little extra glue at the beginning and end of each strip. After it has dried completely, use Mod Podge (or any acrylic paint sealer) to seal the top of the fabric. This will help keep the ends of the fabric in place and prevent fraying.

Let them dry overnight and you've got a super cute new set of tools! We love a craft project that's both cute and useful! Have fun crafting a beautiful set of custom tools for your home! They'll make you smile each time you need a screw driver! XO. elsie

Cute. Might want to be careful with the hammer one. Wouldn't want to slip and put out an eye.
