If you have a special kiddo in your life this next craft project is for you! We love the classic heart candies for Valentine's, so this project is inspired by them. It's a set of alphabet blocks that kids can use to spell new words!

1. You will need: wooden hearts (we got a bag for a few dollars at Michael's), Craft paint in pastels and black and a paint brush. 2. Paint a base coat on all your hearts. This will probably take up to two coats of paint, on both sides. 3. Draw your letters in marker or pencil before you paint, if you like! 4. Paint letters on each block. Do the entire alphabet plus extra vowells. You can put more letters on the back sides if you want more options. Seal with an acrylic sealer if you like.

We created this project as a spelling game for kids. Our two year old niece is a little young for that, but she had fun identifying letters for us and stacking the blocks. We love this little game. It's the perfect Valentine's gift for that little someone you love. xo. elsie + emma
That is so creative! Lovely!

wow... These are really cute. And it is a great Idea to make a game, where the children could learn something.
You could make some little holes in the Hearts so that you could also use it as a necklace. And everyday another word.

these are cute, but some of those hearts are way too small for babies! its a choking hazard. Also are you using voc free paint?

These are super cute. My three year old LOVES the alphabet, and hearts, so I'm sure she would love these. And I could do a different shape with boy colors for when my son is a little older! (He's only 10 months, not quite alphabet age haha)

Ana, this is a project for older kiddos (learning to spell). It's definitely not intended for infants! The paint we used is Martha Stewart craft paint.
Thanks so much for reading!
