So cute!
I have the very opposite problem.
My whole wardobe is shades of black, blue and gray. So I am trying to add more color! :)

I wear black too easily, and have to remind myself to add some colour.
But these outfits are great and I love Emma's boots!

My big struggle is not wearing black! Black jeans, black shirt, black boots.... You pull it off well though :)

I love black! and I'm a very colorful person... but let me tell you, you should wear it more often, it looks super pretty on you!

I love wearing black but I always feel like when I do I *have* to add a pop of color.

And Emma's boots... WOW. Those are AWESOME. Great job.

Hi Elsie!

Thanks so much for the tip on the scarfs. I have been thinking about doing this myself for a while on some old scarfs!

I wear black pretty much every day.
It's my absolute FAVORITE to wear. It took me a long time to even realize that I do wear black most days.

The reason it grew into such a un-noticed "habit" is because in college I mainly took painting classes and the safest thing for me to wear was black incase my paints got a little bit messy (which seemed to happen quite often). I guess it just sort of stuck even after finishing school!!!

My favorite items to pair with my solid black outfits are either one main piece of jewelry that has a bright pop of color or Ill add just what you did, something STRIPED because next to black, my second favorite thing to wear is anything that is striped!!!

I adore this post.

Gorgeous styling girls! I wear black all the time, probably too much. You have both inspired me to embrace the world of colour in my wardrobe, but I do still love black as the perfect staple colour and white makes a lovely accent. And Emma those boots are amazing!

I pretty much only wear black as a base color. Sometimes I'll layer colorful pieces on top of all the black but it's where I usually start an outfit. I love the chic look it gives you and if you pair anything black with bright red lipstick you look fabulous for very little effort!

Great photos!!

I wear black pretty much all the time. I have to make an effort to wear some colour!!!!

i love these! especially elsie's bun :)

yay for black! it's my favorite! color is fun, but black is always nice to ground everything. ;) slash GEE needs to die. you're the cutest sisters ever. and emma's new tattoo is amazing!

Emma's boots! Oh my goodness! Fabulous :D

Super cute, and Elsie, the hair is looking amazing. Just for a comparison, I popped over to your About page again, and the blue dress with the brights all over blew me away. You're such a warm coloring with the hair and pink undertones, I feel like the black might be taking something away.

You know how it is, those colors you find yourself drawn to are usually the best ones for you, and you know instinctively which they are.

Emma, your boots are badass.

i Love black! Cute outfits:)

So cute, love the chevron clutch and your hair color is beautiful.

cute! I always love it when I see someone dressed well in primarily black but I never think to do it myself. here's to 'mastering the art' in 2012!!

I wear altogether too much black, which is probably why I am loving these outfits so much. You ladies look great!
