Our friends at Photojojo sent us a Fuji Instax Wide camera to play with! We've been longtime fans of the mini version
and we are loving this larger format! We love the instax cameras because they have a similar look to polariod, with lower film prices... always a plus!

Since I knew someone would ask, I made a little size comparison for you. Here you can see how the sizes all the instant cameras we use compared. The instax mini is the size of a credit card. I'm planning to make a mini scrapbook with instax wide photos in the near future. How do you store/display your instant photos? xo. Elsie
So fun! I have the Instax mini and have been eyeing the wide for a while, so this is great to hear that you love it! I might have to start saving my pennies for it! :)

I really like the Instax Wide. I received a vintage Polaroid camera for Christmas but I haven't had a chance to pick up film for it yet. Thankfully the Impossible Project is making film but it's too bad Polaroid doesn't as well. I would definitely consider getting the Fuji Instax Wide to add to my camera collection. Thanks for sharing Elsie!

Wow so jealous you got given one! I've got through 2 old ones from eBay in the last few years (I am very good at dropping things) Reeeally need to invest in a new one as they are so good.
I have mine in a big brown book taped by the corners onto brown paper, they have such a good weight for making an album.

i have never heard of these instax mini stuff. They seem so much sun! However, wide is (almost)always better in my opinion!

Elsie, you're photos look great. I have an Instax Mini 50S and love it. However, I'm still learning how to use a normal camera again - one where you can't 100 shots to get it right.
Composition, lighting etc. is all very new to me, especially without all the little helpful settings that a digital camera has.
I would Love Love Love a Tips type post from you on this subject!!! Especially some advice on whether the Mini or the Wide is better?
Long time reader, love this blog.

Hey Tipped Daisy,
Try the Hipstagram ap on your smartphone! It mimics a film camera experience and even makes you wait for your pics to develop! Frustrated me to no end, but for practicing without actually having to pay for the film, it's good!
