This is too cool!

Ooh! Love this idea. I've always been curious about wood burning. Thanks for sharing!

Such a great idea! I even have the perfect wooden bowl to use for such a project.

Thanks doll,
The Glamorous Housewife

That is totally cute, I love it! Definitely makes me want to get a new woodburner...

Your bowl is so cute! This looks like such a fun project. I can't wait to try it! I'll have to start checking the thrift stores for wood pieces to decorate. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I've used gouache on a project similar to this, which I like because its semi-transparent so the wood grain can still show through. It just needs to be finished with a clear spray sealer or else it will bleed when wet. Love the design!

that's so lovely! I'd have a fabulous time eating out of that :) xo.

p.s. My $75 Shabby Apple giveaway is still going on, if you'd like to join!

These bowls are awesome! Love the summery designs you chose!

This is wonderful! Where can you get your hands on a wood burning tool (sorry if that's a totally obvious question)? I'd love to give something like this a try!

Love this idea!!!!

This and the dog bowl project turned out to be adorable! I've been dying to get a wood burning tool and play around with it. Would you recommend a certain brand tool for beginner wood burners like myself?

I haven't done anything with wood burning tools since I worked at a Girl Scout camp during the summers in high school!

Definitely forgot how much fun it was. I'll have to scout around for some inexpensive wood burning tools and get back into it now!

You ladies are astounding! What a great idea to dressip a salad bowl! Thanks a mil :)
