Probably the most worn DIY from this year (for me) would have to be this denim and lace shirt. I've worn it so many times. Maybe too many times. Maybe. That easy project inspired this winter/athletic spin on the idea. What I love is that you could use any color hoodie or any color lace you prefer to customize to your own unique style and taste. I like grey and white, because I'm boring. :)
1. Supplies: Hoodie, lace, scissors, sewing pins, sewing machine. 2. Begin by cutting out the front of the hoodie, leaving 1/4 inch from the seam and the front pocket. 3. Use this section that you just cut out as a template to cut out the lace section. Cut it out 1/4 inch larger for a seam allowance. 4-5. Next, turn the hoodie inside out and pin the lace section in place where the front of the hoodie use to be. When pinning, be sure both seams are facing upward, so that it won't be visible once it's turned right side out. 6. Lastly, pin and stitch the pocket in place.
Have fun making your own glammed up sweatshirt! :) xo. Emma + Kinsey
