Lemonberry Martini

Lemonberry Martini abeautifulmess.com It's always fun to create a cocktail that evokes a treasured memory. This summer, my husband Todd and I took a little mini anniversary trip to Kansas City and had one of the best meals of our life. We tried a few of the most delicious sounding cocktails and resolved to recreate a few of them once we got home. It only took a few hours of turning our kitchen into a cocktail lab before we figured out our own delicious version. • Cranberry juice
• Lemon
• Citron vodka
• Elderflower liqueur

Pour 2 ounces of cranberry juice, 1 ounce elderflower liqueur, and 1 ounce citron vodka into a cocktail shaker with ice. Juice one lemon and add 1 ounce of lemon juice into the shaker (add a little less if you want your drink to be a little less tart). Give your cocktail a good shake and pour into a martini glass. Enjoy!Lemonberry Martini abeautifulmess.com Lemonberry Martini abeautifulmess.com Lemonberry Martini abeautifulmess.com Lemonberry Martini abeautifulmess.comI love the fresh citrus flavor in this cocktail. It's light and not too sweet which makes it a perfect cocktail for ringing in the new year. Here's to 2014, cheers! xo-Laura
