The Modern Heart Dress: 3 Ways

Hi friends! Today we're styling the Modern Heart Dress from my new collection 3 ways! I love this dress because it is really really comfortable. I love a dress that is casual enough to wear just about anywhere! The sleeves look super cute rolled up and the heart pocket detail adds a bit of fun. Extra big thanks to Katie for modeling these looks. 

For this first look, we added a pop of color with a mustard cardigan. We kept the rest of the outfit neutral with a pretty leather tote and comfy saddle shoes. This outfit is perfect for a day running errands or a flea market trip!

This next look is basic and fun. Katie wore a cute weekender bag and tied a scarf up in her hair. I prefer to roll the sleeves up whenever I wear this dress, it just looks right to me. This outfit is perfect for a last minute road trip or a weekend adventure! Don't forget your instant camera. ;)

For this last look we layered a dress over a dress! The mix of patterns and textures is really fun. This outfit would be perfect for a bowling date (yea- we wear dresses to the bowling alley) or a pumpkin patch and coffee date with friends. Tis the season for creative layering!

Chevron to Something Top: 3 Ways

It's time for another round of 3 Ways To Wear It! This time we're styling the Chevron To Something Top. This top features a chambray chevron pattern with a bold black collar. It's easy to mix and match! Here are three stylings: For this first look we chose a black vintage leather skirt and a black wool hat. This look is bold and confident, perfect for a night out or a cocktail party! 

Styling Details: Top/Skirt(similar)/Shoes/HatIn Look Two we mixed some fun red denim with comfy clogs and a cute hair scarf! This look is easy and cute for any daytime occasion. It would also work with a comfy cardigan for chilly nights.

Don't be afraid to wear demin on denim this season. I love a pop of bright color in a neutral outfit!

Won't You Be My Neighborhood Dress: 3 Ways

I had so much fun dreaming up this next dress. The house appliques make it really fun. I chose houses because autumn is my favorite season to be at home. I love the fit of this dress, it's super flattering! Thanks so much to my beautiful pal, Katie, for modeling these looks. 

This first styling is a little more work ready. You could wear this to a meeting or out to a business lunch, but it's still colorful and fun! 

Styling Details: Dress/Blazer(similar)/Vintage Purse + Scarf/Red Heels(similar)

Layering a longer skirt over a shorter dress is something we do often in 3 Ways To Wear It. This styling works especially well with this dress because the top is so cute on it's own! I love the bold white collar against an all black styling. A scarf as a belt is another quick trick to get a belt in a color you may not own.

This last styling is classic and easy. I love layering cardigans because this time of year it's easy to get hot and cold often! The knotted scarf is fun to wear and these brown heels will match just about any outfit this season!

Spot of Tea Skirt: 3 Ways

It's time for round three of 3 Ways To Wear It with my upcoming collection, A Beautiful Mess for ModCloth. This time around we're styling the Spot Of Tea Skirt. This skirt is comfortable, super versatile and easy to wear. Special thanks to Kinsey for modeling this piece!

Look 1: For the first look I paired the skirt with platforms and a lightweight chambray top tied at the waist. This look is fun for shopping days or brunch at your favorite local spot!

Look 2: Tying up a maxi skirt is a fun and trendy way to show off your boots! I would wear this look to a bonfire with friends on the weekend.

Look 3: Maxi skirts are great because they can be worn as a skirt or a dress!  Here I paired this dress with a statement necklace and Swedish clogs. This look would be super cute for date night!
