Mexico (in Instagrams)

This past week Emma, Trey, Jeremy and I joined more of Trey's family for a fun trip to Mexico. It was quick, sunny, slightly tipsy (okay, very tipsy) and very relaxing. Here are a few snapshots from our trip!Selfies on the beach. There's a lot more where that came from, but I'll spare you. :)We had the best time sitting by the beach (covered in sunscreen—don't you worry!) and chatting about inspiration, plans and the year to come. I can't believe Emma's wedding is less than two months away! (Our suits are from ASOS + H&M)Coconut ice cream and a little fun splashing in the waves together.

Sigh. It was nice to have a little getaway, even if it was just for a few days! It was also cool to start fusing our family with Trey's family. That was pretty special.

(and even more) New York Snapshots

I'm back to share one last round of photos from our trip this past weekend. This time, SLR photos! This little spot was nearby our hotel. We went there with our mom last summer, so we decided to take the boys too. We're mostly obsessed with the decor.... I mean, look at those stripes!We enjoyed the Stumptown location in our hotel. Their tiny cappuccinos were too adorable. I like mini stuff.We had our first Brooklyn experience, which was a treat! We loved the food, the neighborhoods and the shopping. Definitely a cool vibe.

Well, we just arrived home. I'm excited to take a long bubble bath and them jump into my crazy project list for the week. We're painting, sewing and renovating like crazy around here. Life is good! xo. Elsie + Emma too

New York in iPhone Photos!

Hi friends! We are traveling home today from an amazing trip to New York. Here are a few photos that the four of us snapped with our iPhones...Our first order of business was a day full of meetings with our publisher. It was amazing to meet the entire team in person (so many talented + fun people!) and make plans for current and future book projects. By the end of the day our minds were exploding with ideas and inspiration. Plus, you should see the to-do list that we brought home with us. Epic.It was such a treat to meet Naomi (and Josh too!) over brunch. We loved talking about projects, BABIES (no, we're not pregnant) and blogging. She's such a gem!Emma and Trey got all touristy and visited the Empire State Building one afternoon. So sweet. #megryan

When someone asked me what my favorite part of New York was I quickly replied, "DOGS IN COATS!" That's an exaggeration, I'm sure, but it was  super fun to see so many cute doggies out walking in their cute outfits. I tried very hard to control my excitement.We felt lucky this trip, because we got to meet up with several old and new friends! We had cocktails with Gala, Bonnie and Keiko (all SO sweet), and we made new friends too. It was fun to meet some blog readers at the Sucre concert as well! Thank you so much to everyone who said hello—that was a treat!Stumptown coffee... so good. 

As we were walking to dinner one night, I saw some familiar faces in a window at American Apparel. How fun is that?We had such a good time! I hope we will be back to visit again when the weather is warmer. We're in love with the city. Until next time.... xo. Elsie (+ Emma too)
